Sunday School
Sunday Schools offered another opportunity for travel. Sherington had a Church Sunday School (which met twice on a Sunday) and the Chapel Sunday School, comprising of the Methodist and Congregational Chapels (which met three times on a Sunday).

Days out were equally segregated, although some children would try and get on both outings. The Chapel children would mostly go to Wicksteed Park. One village member remembers that originally it was by horse and cart, but things did improve later when a charabanc was used.

The Church Sunday School trips were more ambitious (and had to be paid for). They ventured to the seaside for the day (Hunstanton for instance) and the Church Choir had further days out to London.
