Sherington Parish Church is the only church in England dedicated to St. Laud, the Bishop of Coutances in France who died in 568A.D.
Sheringtonians also worshipped in several chapels that have now been converted into residential properties. Within the memory of older citizens, these have provided opportunities not only for worship but also organised trips and excursions.
