Gave scholars a half-day holiday on account of the fete at Tyringham.

Closed school today for one months holiday viz till September 4th.

Half holiday being Gunpowder Plot Holiday. Very poor attendance this morning 69 out of 107.
July 2nd 1937
School closed for the Wolverton Works holiday. To reopen on Monday July 12th
June 23rd 1938
As it is Newport fair the children were allowed out of school 3.45
September 1st 1938
The school was closed for the day, a number of children and parents went to Clacton on Sea. A very enjoyable day was spent there.
January 10th 1946
The children were given a half day holiday all children over 8 years old were taken to the pantomime at Northampton. Tea was also provided.
June 23rd 1960
Today the school was closed for a trip to Whipsnade Zoo. 30 children + 4 teachers made up the party and in spite of severe rain and thunder storms an enjoyable day was spent.
July 11 1962
School was closed for today as a school outing was arranged to Whipsnade Zoo. A party of 31 children and 5 adults set off at 9.30, + after spending a very pleasant day, returned about 5pm. A charge of 5/9 per person was made which covered bus fare + entrance to zoo.
