From the mid 1980's until 1992, the shopping centre logo was a maple leaf. This logo was chosen because all the trees planted around the outside of the centre are Maple trees. At this time the centre was promoted as 'Milton Keynes - the only regional shopping centre'.
In 1993 and 1994 the centre was labelled as CMK, Shopping Centre - Central Milton Keynes
In 1995 a Sunflower was introduced, and the slogan 'Pretty much everything under the sun' used on the shopping guides as well as TV and radio advertising. This ran for several years, changing at Christmast time to, 'Pretty much everything under the Christmas tree'. Late night and Sunday opening hours were introduced.
1997 Christmas 1999
In 1997 the Shopping Centre became a smoke free zone.
