The logos and advertising for the Shopping Centre have been changed many times since the centre's opening in 1979. The very first leaflet featured a bulging carrier bag with the words 'Central Milton Keynes' and an artist's impression of the shopping building. The slogan 'Shopping as it should be' was written on the bottom of the leaflet. This slogan was also used in the TV advertisements promoting the centre at that time.
