Towards the end of the 19th century a group of three cottages could be found on the corner of Watling
Street and Bradwell Road. They provided accommodation for some of the deserving poor of the parish
These cottages were demolIshed and replaced by a terrace of four dwellings. The opening in 1898 appears to have been attended by most of the village
Over the century that has passed since 1898 these cottages have hardly changed at all

Loughton Middle School Clutch Club

Loughton Middle School Clutch Club is one of the first round of clubs funded by awards from the Millennium Commission. Each club consists of 5 parents of school-age children, in this case Charlotte Cashman, Bernadette Gill, Dave Johnston, Mumtaz Ladak and Gill Sloyan.
