		"Subscriptions towards the renovation of the parish church are coming in well, the vicar, up to the end of April, having received £115 19s.10d. In addition, definite promises for £19 have been made. The work is going forward rapidly, the roof and a greater portion of the body of the church has already been demolished, and the foundation of the new walls is being worked. The number of hands employed has increased considerably."
