John Odell Senior passed away on June 13th 1895. His obituary in the Bucks Standard wrote of an esteemed and well respected member of the community. He was succeeded by his son John whose three sons, Percy, Reginald and Cecil were destined to continue the family business. However, world events intervened and World War One Broke out. Percy was killed in October 1916 and awarded the military medal. Reg was invalided out.
Following John's death in 1935 Mr Reg and Mr Cecil, as they were known, took over the business and renamed it Odell Brothers. |
