BEANHILL

The young people of Beanhill arrange to meet at the various parks, using the artworks as artistic landmarks. They refer to the artwork by name rather than street or estate names. Many young people were involved in the murals, there seems to be a culture of ownership with many young people upset by the graffiti and vandalism. There are four community art features that live on Beanhill, T in Man, Toadstools, Underpass Murals, and Beanhill Meeting Place Mural. Some of this artwork is as early as 1978.

Beanhill was built 1973-77 taking street names from grasses and food.
