Similarities in the old and new.
'Duck Duck Goose' is a game played not only at parties but also in the playground. It is very similar to an old game that was played at the boys school called 'Circle the Strap'. Although todays game is a little less painful!

We have been informed that 'Circle the Strap' was played by a group of boys forming a circle, with their heads bent forwards, hands clasped together. One of the boys would stand outside of the circle and whack some one with the strap, then run around the group, chased by his 'victim', once caught they swapped the strap and began again. It has been quoted that many grudges were settled this way!
