The Patronal prayer included in the annual service held on the eve of Feast Sunday was as follows:

"ALMIGHTY GOD, to whose glory we celebrate the patronal festival of our church of SS. Peter and Paul, accept now the offering of the rushes symbolising through the years the desire of your people to set apart and make holy this place of worship. May this service at our hands assure us of your favour as we prepare to offer Word and Sacrament at the Festival tomorrow. We remember with gratitude and commend to your keeping the soul of Elizabeth Theed and the souls of all our benefactors and all who have worked and worshipped here. May your apostles, Peter and Paul, join their prayers to our offering helping us to live by their teaching and example; through Jesus Christ."
