THE DOWNFALL OF THE OLD TOOL SHED AND THE BUILDING OF THE NEW ONE
The log book entry for 17th January 1936 states,
“Mr Lattimore rehung door on gardening tool shed and new padlock.”

The tool shed had been erected many years before and it had become clear that it was gradually falling into disrepair.

1st February 1938
“Todays gale completely overturned the tool shed, the bottom of which has been rotten for a long time. Stored the tools temporarily in the soil house behind the girls lavatories.”

Early in 1939, the boys undertook a project to build a new tool shed.

The boys were extremely proud of their new tool shed -
and with just cause!
