We are indebted to many people who have given very generously of their time and help in the compiling of this website.
People have talked to us about the things they remember. They have searched to find old photographs and postcards to lend us. They have given us leads to other sources of information and all with enthusiasm.
It is unfortunate that we do not have room on these pages to display everything that we have been told. We have been able only to give a flavour of the wealth of fascinating information and memories that we have been privy to.
We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped in any way, including our families for their patience and support, and to the following people in particular: -
Fr Connolly
Miss Margaret Max
Derrick Rooney
Mr and Mrs Brady
Geoff Gibson
Fr Bernard Barrett
Jan and Karen Bugaj
The children of St Mary Magdalene school for their drawings, only some of which could be displayed
Malcolm Hooton and all the bellringers
Mr and Mrs Fitch
The Odell Family
Bill Barby
Audrey Lambert
Peter Watson
Dorothy Meadows
Brian Barnes
We would like to thank Buckinghamshire County Council for allowing us to use photographs of which they are the copyright owner.
We also wish to thank the staff at the Open University, and the Living Archive in Wolverton, for their help and expertise. They have helped us a lot, taught us a lot and inspired us. They have been endlessly patient and willing, and have given up a lot of time to support us.
We wish them well, as we wish everyone else, to whom we owe a great debt of gratitude.
Our thanks go also to the Millennium Commission for funding the project and giving us this opportunity.
