The Lovet and the Daimler stayed in this partnership in Newport Pagnell until 1928 when they were replaced by a purpose built Commer Fire Tender, which had solid tyres. The Lovet and Daimler were past on to Olney Brigade where they stayed in use until the late 1930s. In 1931 a Hatfield trailer was purchased to work along side the Commer, this to had solid tyres.
Four years later both pump were replaced by a Merryweather Trailer pump which was tow by a Ford towing vehicle. In this same year the Brigade attended a fire at the cinema cafe dance hall.
