The Turkey-cock was part of the Owl and Pussycat theme in a play area in Farthing Grove, Netherfield. It was one of the first main characters to arrive at the project organised by Liz Leyh.
This large wooden carving was done by pupils of Radcliffe school, was lifted into place by a digger and chains, Lesley Bonner and Michael Grabowski assistant artists in Stacey Hill studios watched the process. |
