The new school opened in September 1974 with 134 children on the roll. It was eventually to be part of a new housing development but initially it was on a building site and only had a temporary access road. Concern was expressed at a number of the School Managers meetings over the next few years about the state of the access road and the safety of the footpath from the main road. |

The move from the old overcrowded building into a brand new school full of new furniture and equipment meant a big change for staff and pupils alike. They now had enough classrooms for all the classes, a properly equipped hall for PE and the luxury of central heating, and indoor toilets! |

On the 29th of November 1974 the school was officially opened by the Lord Bishop of Buckingham, the Right Reverend Simon Burrows. | ||||||
