Back to Religion contents page | |||||||||
In 1862, the rectangular chancel was demolished and replaced with an apse designed by T. H .Lewis. The project included the glazing with stained glass , believed to have been designed by Arthur o' Connor. Of the twenty panels installed , only one is known to have survived. It depicts The Raising of Jairus' Daughter and is held in store at Ely Cathedral.
In the North Wall of the entrance section is a framed and glazed photographic print of a painting and a pen and ink drawing showing Willen Church before and after its restoration . The organ is shown in its present position , though the 'after' view shows a elaborate organ case which no longer exists. |
