1520 Willen map

Henry VIII is King, and it is a time of exploration and religious turmoil. Christopher Columbus has discovered the West Indies, Vasco da Gama has reached India by sea, Cortez has conquered the Aztecs and Martin Luther has begun the Reformation but been condemned as a heretic.
In Willen life goes on much as it has done for at least 500 years. Nearly everyone, except for John Christian the vicar and the Lord of the Manor, John Mordaunt, Earl of Peterborough works the land. Hedges are few and generally found around the homesteads of the villagers, where they are used to keep their animals safe. Most of the land is divided up into strips that are ploughed to grow crops.
