GAMES
Most of the games children played during the war cost little or no money, such as skipping with a length of rope or hopscotch chalked on the ground.

Nearly every child would have had a whip and top in their pocket (apparently the small ones where the best).

Children would often play marbles in the gutter, so that the marbles ran straight. Or you could find some stones and play five stones.
