The large lake just outside the village boundaries was the original clay pit for the village. Despite enquiries no-one is certain of it's name - Wootton Pillinge has been suggested. The lake is now a popular sporting facilities with it's own watersports club. It has recently been incorporated into Marston Vale Millenium Park and can now be approached from the new Forest Centre. The lake and park now provide very pleasant recreational facilities for people living in the area and will continue to develop. | ||||||
