1867 The School was constructed at a cost of £457.
1869 Miss Ursula Shave was the School Mistress.
1877 The School was used as a Sunday School only. The children went to school in Shenley.
1880 The deeds of Loughton National School were signed over to Shenley and Loughton School Board.
1883 Miss Mary Merrick was the Schoolmistress. The School was now under lease from Shenley and Loughton School Board.
1887 Miss Georgina Dowling was the Schoolmistress. Average attendance was 52 children. By 1891 the attendance had increased to 66 children.
1894 A new classroom for 40 children was added to the school.
1895 Miss Harriet Moore was the Schoolmistress. Average attendance was 62 children.
1899 Miss Ellen Annie Hescroff was the Schoolmistress. Average attendance was 70 children. Gertrude Kitchener was employed as the Infant Mistress.
1903 Miss Ellen Penny (pictured left) was the Schoolmistress. Gertrude Stevens (nee Kitchener) continued as Infant Mistress. Average attendance was 78 children.
1907 Mrs Elizabeth Cresswell was the Schoolmistress. Gertrude Stevens was Infant Mistress. Average attendance was 78 children.
1911 Mrs Maude Cresswell was the Schoolmistress. Gertrude Stevens was Infant Mistress. Average attendance was 50 children.
1915 Maude Cresswell and Gertrude Stevens taught until 1915 when the School was closed, both teachers and the children then went to Shenley School.
The above photo, taken in 1904, is almost certainly of Miss Ellen Penny. She was schoolmistress from 1903 to 1907.
