Norace Martin, William Johnson, Jesse Green, Albert Green and Percy Spriggs all of Lavendon were summoned for playing football on the highway on February 7th 1921, PC Blake spoke of seeing the defendants playing football in the village street. They were a nuisance to the pedestrians and on being spoken to, they said they were out of work or they would not have been playing. Fined 2s 6d each (approx. 12.5p)
