A white Christmas in 1981 was just missed by three days. This beautiful shot of Crow Lane was captured by Mr Tom Marchant of Aspley Guise and shows the view across the fields from School Lane to Crow Lane. The snow fell in drifts across the fields of up to 4 feet in places and brought traffic to a standstill. Sadly views such as this across the village to Crow Lane will shortly be a thing of the past as a plantation of trees was planted in the 1990's in the field directly in front of these houses obsuring the views both to and from these lovely cottages. |
