These are extracts form the local A.G.M minuets.

1919: After lengthy discussions it was proposed that the clerk confer with the School Management Committee to fix a War Memorial Tablet to the school wall.

1920: Clerk was instructed to write to Rural District Council for permission to errect a War Memorial on the Green and ask for a finger plate to be affixed directing the road to Woburn Sands.

1921: Rural District Council gave permission for the War Memorial on the Green.

1929: Cheque was drawn to pay Mr John Munday being payment for the overlooking of War Memorial for 1928.

1968: The War Memorial was knocked down and damaged by an unknown culprit. A house to house collection was made to raise the £45 to cover costs.

1976: Chains were removed from around the Memorial and roses planted.

1988: The War Memorial is renovated and rededicated at the Service of Remembrance.
