This site is a lively mix of sound, video, image and text which presents the history of the Oxide Works, formerly an Iron Foundry in the Northamptonshire village of Deanshanger. The works was demolished in 2000 after two hundred years of production. The web site embraces science, art, social history, industry and children and was researched and produced by a group of Primary school parents as part of the Open University and Wolverton Living Archive CLUTCH Millennium Award. |
