Everyone has heard of the concrete cows at Bradwell.

But now pupils at Oliver Wells School, Netherfield, have created their own concrete zoo!

For the past three months children have been working on eight colourful playseats, each with an animals design. And last week the moulded concrete blocks were unveiled.

The children were supervised by community artist Lesley Bonner and senior teacher Kathy Blanchard.

Interaction's Tracy Walters was on hand at the grand opening.

Children at Oliver Wells School can now sit back and take things easy.

For after weeks of hard work they have finished specially decorated playseats at the pets corner at the Netherfield school.

The nine seats are made out of concrete and the children have carved figures of animals on the sides and tops before painting them.

Some of the kids are pictured helping Inter-Action's Tracy Walters try out one of the seats.
