The fresh produce and other food that the children and their families have donated, is divided up and delivered to local senior citizens. These gifts were very much appreciated, and it appears sought after. In the 1950's Mr Eric Samuel,acting Headmaster at the time, recalls an irate pensioner rang him demanding to know why he hadn't recieved a gift when his neighbour had!
