Year 2 visit to the Local Farm
Beaudesert School is situated very near to open fields and farms. Every year a local farmer invites year 2 children to visit his farm. This day out is great fun for the children. They get to bottle feed the lambs and also if lucky get to see new lambs being born. Last year one group of children missed out on seeing a lamb arrive, but this disappointment was soon rectified. Several days later the farmer arrived in the playground with his trailer, in the back was a sheep in labour. Mr Holm the headmaster let all the year groups come out to watch this baby lamb come into the world. The children were so pleased this had happened in the their playground. The children asked if the lamb could be named Beaudesert !!
