Marbles is a game that hasn't been played in the school playground for a long while, but are still available in the shops. Who knows what the next trend will be, marbles may make a surprise come back in future years. Some of the "Old Boys" interviewed in the making of this website remember it being a popular game at playtime. It had many variations and one of the favourites at Beaudesert in the early 1900's was "Dunk-hole", followed closely by "Knocking-in". | |
