In the 1990's computers were introduced at Beaudesert School. Today every classroom has at least one compute and a further three computers are available in the computer area. This teaching method is of great importance for the future and it is felt that teaching children computer skills from a young age is a great advantage. Another recent change in education is the introduction of numeracy and literacy hours. Every days one hour must be spent on each of these subjects to comply with the National Curriculum. It is now recognised the importance of mental arithmetic and comprehensive literacy learning from an early age. |
