Although exercise books have always been available at Beaudesert School, it was not until the end of the 1920's that they were issued to the younger children These were used and still are, mainly with pencils and not pens, It is only the minority of children in the fourth year (8 to 9 year olds) at Beaudesert that progress to use ink. Today much of the children school work is supplied in pre-printed books. A variety of subjects are covered, using question and answer sections to be completed by the children. This allows pupils of different levels to be able to work to their own ability. Many classes divide their students into structured groups, to boost their confidence. |
